29/9/2020

Dear BGS Members,

Our friends at University of Auckland are hosting an online event this Friday 2 October, 1-2pm, in conjunction with our Executive Education team. It’s called ‘Short Sharp’ – as it’s a ‘taster’ of their Short Courses run through the Executive Education team.

This one will be around creating value from data, featuring University of Auckland Marketing Professor Leo Paas and Microsoft Enterprise Director Brendan Bain. They will address the critical issues of organisation culture, sharing information across silos and how bridging the gap between the analysts collecting the data and management using the data is the key to organisational success.

Hello, BGS NZ members!

Do you run your own business, work in an organization, or have a new project you want to share with the BGS NZ community? If yes, we have a NEW OPPORTUNITY for you.

Starting this Friday, we are trialing a ‘PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS’ initiative where you can promote your business or the projects you are working on.

While not required, it would be great to have a special offering (discount or extra value-added) for BGS members if you are promoting your business.

What makes this concept special is that there is NO ADVERTISING COST paid to BGS. This is one instance where you get FREE promotion directed to people just like you!

Promote your business will be open on both the BGS NZ Facebook and LinkedIn pages each Friday. So be sure to add your links and promotions on both social media platforms!

Have a great day,

Our good friends at AUT have invited BGS members to an exclusive online webinar.
Innovation is occurring across multiple industries globally and while product and process innovation is critical to business success, the winners in the near future will be the leaders that are also embracing innovation in a critical – yet often overlooked – area: leveraging the talent of their team and nurturing an innovation-focused culture.

In this keynote, U.S. based expert Leena Patel will share her four-part Innovation Expansion Framework that will give you a step-by-step approach to cultivating creative thinking. Whether you have (or are part of) a small team, head up a business unit, or lead an entire workforce, this talk – backed up by great stories, compelling data, lesser known case studies, and actionable takeaways – will give you the "how-to" to go forth and make innovation a priority.
Leena Patel is the founder of Sandbox2Boardroom.com, and a leading expert on helping leaders worldwide drive innovation from creative ideation through to strategic execution. Her strategies have helped organisations win new business, increase market share, and drive bottom line revenue – you can’t afford to miss this presentation!
